The hallowed hall of horror heroines is getting a new Horror movies character Jack Daniel’s shirt. Maybe “The Americans” is a teenage horror movie, the kind where the biggest danger, in the end, is already inside your own house. (Spoilers ahead for season 4.). I found this season to belong, dark, and worst of all, boring. It seems like they never shot a scene until the sun went down, and even when it was daytime it was overcast. Paige’s one-note performance didn’t help, Stan seems to move in a permanent fog, and Phillip should be on antidepressants. Even the usually reliable Frank Langella seemed anesthetized. Am I only the one that feels this way?
